The Olde Pub lunch

Retford

Friday we had clear blue skies and a spot of Sun however it did hide the fact there was a bitterly cold wind. After walking(shopping) in Retford, we headed to Wentworth, a village in South Yorkshire that has a population of 1233 people. It is a beautiful country village and of course we had lunch at the Rockingham Arms a pub founded in 1768. We lunched for about two hours and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of this small pub. We then decided to take  a stroll however the weather was bitterly cold with an icy wind and Pam quickly retired to the car, shortly followed by the other girls. Hence our trip to Elsecar was a drive through but once again a quaint village. I  managed to snap a few photos but am finding that when you have others in tow who are not interested in photography have no paitence whilst i get a collection of shots. We also picked up Christine from her stay with Su's niece Abby. Tomorrow we set off for London so we can take in the sights and I will on Monday attend a photographic course.
